Christmas

The things that Jesse wants for Christmas is cologne, a laptop, some shoes, some clothes, and a coupled pieces of candy, as well as some delicious food. This Christmas I am just going to stay at home with my family and enjoy each others company. We will probably all cook breakfast together, then open presents. At night we gather a group of people to play cards and watch Christmas movies such as Home Alone 1,2, and 3. After Christmas I will be working and playing baseball and when I am not doing that I am hanging out with my family. Then once New Years come I go out and shoot so many fireworks! That is all I will be doing this Christmas break.

What I hope to accomplish by going to college is getting a degree and getting a job to will set me up for life with that degree. I will be going to college for myself and my future family because in the beginning I will need money to support myself and once I get married, hopefully I will have a good enough degree to make enough money to support my family and be able to travel. The characteristics that matter the most when choosing a college is knowing where you want to go, you'll have to be able to know if you can get the degree that you want at that college, and you are going to have to be kind of picky depending on scholarships that you are going to be able to get from different colleges. I will seek my parents input and my counselors input because they know what is best for me according to what I want to become, especially the counselor, they know where all the best colleges would be for me to go in order to get the degree that I want. College will help me achieve my goals that I have set for the rest of my life by giving me a easier opportunity to get a good job that will set me for life after I finish college.

My plans for thanksgiving is to eat, sleep, and hangout with my family. We are going to go to a party and eat with a lot of other families, as well as play games and fellowship. I will go black Friday shopping because they is great deals going on that day. I am not sure what I will buy but I do plan on buy many items, mainly clothes though. That is about it but Happy Thanksgiving to EVERYONE!

Online job

A good job that I found online at jobtomic.com is working in a warehouse. It is a fairly easy job because you really just need to be bale to move boxes and wrap boxes up, it just depends on where your boss puts you at. This job is good for students like me because if you are strong you are able to move the boxes and while your working you are somewhat getting a workout in. Also it is good to have a job because it will give us a step in life already by making our own money and eventually our parents are going to want us to pay for our own bill. For my preparation for my interview I would write it out and have a practice interview with my parents. I would also make sure that the attire that I would be wearing is professional looking, as well as looking online to see different things to do when you are being interviewed. This job was not that hard to find, I just looked up good jobs for high school students.

I thought that this film was very inspiring. It showed that anyone can accomplish anything because being at a low part of life and eventually going to Harvard and graduating is a huge accomplishment. It showed that no matter the circumstance if you have a positive outlook at life you can get really far in life and accomplish the goals that you strive for. My favorite part of the movie was when she went to Harvard to visit, it made the movie become more of a exciting movie instead of mellow and dramatic. I don't think I would have been as resilient as Liz Murray was, it would've been hard for me to have the discipline to go to school and not have a life like my parents. I'm sure maybe I could go farther in life because I wouldn't want to live that lifestyle but I don't think I would be able to make it as far as she did.

Budget Suprise!

The most surprising thing about my budget was how much my college books will cost. I was not expecting books to cost close to $700 I personally think that it is a major rip off. I was expecting them to be around $300. I will probably go online to see if I can find the books that I need for a cheaper price so I can save money. I realized that I will have to save money before I go to college for sure because getting paid $10 an hour and only working part time barely lets you pass by. For me to prepare now I can get a good job and start putting money into a savings account so by the time I go to college I will have a lot of money saved up to spend on the necessities that I will be needing.

My top career choice that I would choose to do would be to become a registered nurse. Ever since I was in the hospital in 7th grade nursing seemed like something fun to do. You get to see different disease and deal with different injuries as well as dealing with different people. I eventually want to major in becoming a specific nurse but I do not know what I want to do exactly yet. Male nurses are also normally hired on the spot because they are much needed in the medical field, so I know that if I was to become one that I would for sure have a job. Also the pay for being a nurse is really good, starting out at about $65,000 and once you major you can get paid up to $100,000.

Stress

My score was 6 out of 24. Something that stresses me out a lot in life would be school and the grades that I make in my classes. School to me is very stressful because I do not like doing work and I don't think that school should determine how successful we can be in life. The grades in school stress me out because I don't like failing at all. I start to worry about it and then so much more worries come into my head and then I get completely stressed out about everything.
A way that I can deal with this stress is not to worry about it and try my hardest to make good grades and do good in school.

Organization

      My organization method is to put an alarm on my phone to remind me what I have to do that day, it alerts me of the things that I have to accomplish because I am not good and checking a planner. It works well for people who forget what they have to do because most people do forget and with the alarm system it alerts you and it will either vibrate or make a noise.
      Procrastination hurt bad because it can affect your grade, and cause a lot of stress in your life. When you procrastinate you have to hurry and try and make it as good as possible in a short amount of time, and when you rush you can make many mistakes that will affect the grade that you will get. The stress starts to set in because you don't have much time left and you begin to worry about getting it finished and if you don't in time you make a bad grade, and a bad grade is no good!
      You can fight procrastination by doing your work on time instead of setting it off until the day it is due.
